(More customer reviews)I love the texture of the ball... it's slightly bumpy/rough-ish, not shiny or slippery and the colour is darker than I thought it would be, but I still love it. I use the ball as my office chair, like so many others are doing, and within the first few minutes my back was less achy and I was suddenly more alert. I am curious as to how much better the balls are inside the ball bases/stands that convert the ball to look more like a chair, but honestly, I think the ball does fine on it's own. It's also great for those boring moments at work when things are going slowly... I just start a little bounce and it puts a spring in my sit ;-).
I haven't had any problems with the ball deflating, but when I first pumped it up I thought it was surprisingly small... but that was because I didn't realise I could pump pump pump until it was larger (despite the "burst resistant" name, I was concerned that I would pump it too full of air and it would pop once I sat on it).
I highly recommend this ball to anyone who loves purple or wants to try out a ball for an office chair!

It went completely out of round and the inconsistent rubber quality caused a small section of the ball to bulge out like a tumor. I'm just sorry I'd already thrown away the packaging or I would have returned it. Now it's in a landfill somewhere.

I got sucked into this purchase because I thought I was getting the all-in-one type of set up. I suppose that is partly true, but even the most extreme beginners will find the DVD useless after a few viewings. It essentially serves as an advertisement for 3 other DVDs sold by GAIAM. I don't know the price of the ball by itself, but I would recommend that purchase for sure. Then find a DVD that suits you from there.

(More customer reviews)I purchased 2 GoFit Ultimate Burst Resistant Core Stability Balls w/DVD (orange 55cm and purple 65cm)over a year ago from Amazon (on sale). The ball is a very durable, good quality ball (no foul smells or sticky surfaces like some other stability balls). I haven't had any problems with the ball in over a year of constant use. I have had to occasionally add air to keep the ball at the appropriate size (but nothing out of the ordinary).
This package comes with the ball, pump and workout DVD. I didn't even attempt to use the cheap manual pump included, but opted to use my husband's automatic pump, which quickly and easily inflated the ball to the desired size without any effort. The workout DVD is that in name only. It has some good exercise ideas, but if you are looking for a stability ball workout, you will probably want to buy a separate "true" stability ball workout DVD. Also, if you ever need an extra plug, you can buy them directly from the manufacturer at GoFit.net.
As a side note ...
When determining what size stability ball to purchase, leg length (not height) is what ultimately dictates the size ball you need. If you know you have shorter or longer legs for your height, then you may need to get a smaller or larger ball than the standard height charts for stability balls.
For those of you who are unsure of how much to inflate your stability ball, here are some helpful guidelines taken from the fitnesource site ... On a wall, measure 55cm, 65cm or 75cm (depending on the ball size you have) from the floor and mark it with a pencil. Then inflate the ball until it feels/looks "full", but is not hard and still has a little bit of give in it when you press on it. Put the ball close to the mark you made on the wall and then place a ruler on top of the ball so that it touches the top of the ball and the mark on the wall. This will tell you how close you are to the maximum inflation for your ball size. If this is the first time you are inflating the ball, while it might seem full, it might still measure small. If this happens, give the ball a day to "stretch out" and then add some additional air, if needed. If you don't want to do all that, they also sell tape measures specifically for measuring the diameter of stability balls. Just keep in mind, that when you sit on the ball with your feet flat on the ground and knees bent, your knees should be level with or slightly lower than your hips (a 90 degree angle).

(More customer reviews)My husband mistakenly bought me a small exercise ball for Christmas and I, being a little shy of six feet tall, couldn't use it. So, I returned it for this set and I couldn't be happier. The ball itself comes with a really easy to use hand pump and has a nice, sticky finish to it that clings to my hardwood floor like a yoga mat. I was only really looking for a yoga ball, but the theraband and DVDs were great to get with this kit as well.
The DVD is also a wonderful tool to have. The main workout dvd focuses on legs, arms and abs. WHOA does it target your muscles! I was amazed at the amount of muscle isolation and how this seemingly "easy" set of moves really targeted my muscles. It was a great workout- wonderfully shot, nicely explained and just fun to do. I can't wait to add it to my exercise regimen.

(More customer reviews)I like this ball but it's not as big as I thought it would be. I believe this ball was measured deflated and is 22cm deflated, not inflated. I'm 5'3" and this ball is too small for me to use properly. I had previously purchased a stability ball from Fitness Quest. Same measurements but a bigger ball. My younger son works out with me and has no problem with this ball. My best advice is, if in doubt, see if you can contact someone before purchasing and ask if the ball was measure inflated or deflated. Still a quality ball. Just be careful on the size ordered to make sure you are getting what you need for your workouts.

(More customer reviews)I just purchased this ball at the local sports shop (Amazon's price is less). It comes with a good instructional DVD which also guides you through inflating the ball (no paper, thank you for saving some trees!). I viewed it and the exercises appeared to be pretty effective. But the problem therein lies with the ball. Anybody can inflate a ball, right? On no, not this one! I tried and tried and gave up in frustration. Its opening seems to be wider than the straw provided and I was only able to fill it to 60% before the air started coming back out. The flimsy straw quickly bent, good luck finding another straw that fits. This ball didn't workout and neither did I.

I was simply sitting on it at work (i weigh 130 lbs & have a 65 cm ball...more than enough), and it blew apart and i fell to the hard floor. I contacted savasa & after a month i finally received a replacement. I have blown up the new one (not easily though since the cheap plastic fitting on BOTH pumps i have broke!), and it is not even close to the same size!! I am very aggravated, and all they can say is that i need to blow it up more.... I can't, the nozzle is broken...besides that the ball is ROCK HARD and maybe 2/3 the size it should be. I'm not impressed & will not buy from this company again!!

The old ball's manufacturer seems to have gone out of business, as I found out when trying to get a replacement plug. Soooo, long story, couldn't get a plug so bought this ball. It seems to stay inflated better, but the best part was when I called Harbinger to see about getting plugs in case I run into the same trouble as I did with the old ball. The woman who answered at Harbinger was great, put some extras in an envelope and mailed them out the same day. I don't know if I'll ever need them but the fact that there still is CUSTOMER SERVICE in this country is heartwarming.

J Fit Muscle Tension Release Body Rolling Ball Review

(More customer reviews)I purchased this ball to use to apply more concentrated pressure than I can get with a foam roller. It came with no directions. That made it difficult to understand the purpose of the ball and the proper inflation. It seems to me that for this to work the pressure should be 50 - 100 psi. As I pumped the ball up - the ball kept getting bigger but not much harder. I am not sure what the ball is for, but it is not for deep tissue massage. I can get a *lot* more pressure from a foam roller - this ball was a disappointment.
