Ab Wheel Review

Ab Wheel
Average Reviews:

My Dad has had this AbWheel for at least 20 years and he just started using it again at 57. Now he's more ripped then I am and his back, arms, and abs are rock solid. This thing is amazing and simple...the key, start slowly. He challenged me to use it the last time I went to his house, I went up and down twice and felt pretty good about myself (he does 60-100 reps from his knees then another 10 from his toes). The next morning after doing only 2 reps I woke up as sore as if I'd spent the entire day in the gym. I'm buying one of these right now so I can catch up to my Dad. Can't have a 60 year old man looking better than his 20-something son.

wow so i took this out of its box and thought o god this is gonna be cheap and not work because its really simple and small. but the first roll i did with it i felt a good burn in my abs and arms. after a few minutes i felt like my abs were gonna explode with ripness. it definately works great for a great price. i have one of those ab blaster lounges too- and this works sooooo much better than that. those things are boring and i dont feel a burn for a long time.

Sunny Health & Fitness Roller Slide Review

Sunny Health and Fitness Roller Slide

I have used this product on & off for several years and it works. I am a 162 lbs male and the Ab Slide Roller helps to give me defined abs, shoulder, chest and arm muscles, with just a few minutes use everyday. You're getting an ab workout, as well as a push-up-type workout when you use this product. There is just one problem I've had consistantly with this piece of equipement, and it is the reason why I'm giving it a 3-1/2 star rating instead of a 4 or 5; it breaks. After just a few short months of use (and by "use" I mean using it in the proper, recomended and instructed way) the internal spring or coiled metal that gives the Ab Slide Roller its resistance, breaks. This has happened with every one of the Ab Slide Rollers I've purchased over the years. (Again, I am using it only in the proper and recomended way.) I've had them last as long as 6 -7 months and as little as 3. But, as I said at the outset, this product does work.

Lifeline USA Power Wheel II Review

Lifeline USA Power Wheel II

I am very pleased with my Power Wheel II. I received my order quickly and assembly was easy. The exercise chart plus instructional DVD is like having a personal trainer break down the each movement and what/why muscle groups are targeted. The Power Wheel II hits your core directly like a laser. I felt the burn 12 seconds into the first exercise. I let my brother try it and he liked it so much I gave it to him to take home. I am now going to order another. I definitely recommend the Power Wheel II. My customer experience was excellent!

AB Dolly Plus Review

AB Dolly Plus
Average Reviews:

I feel like over the years I've bought every exercise machine available, at every price point, from the Gazelle Freestyle andValeo Dual Ab Wheel to the Ab Lounger, Tiger Ab Machine and the Sunny Health & Fitness Roller Slide. This is the ONLY one I've bought that:
1) I've used regularly, because it's so easy. (In fact, so regularly that I've worn out the kneepads on my first one- and bought a new one)
2) Provides a noticable loss of inches for both the upper and lower tummy within a couple of weeks - with just 5 minutes of use a day! (I know I sound like the commercial - but it's true).
Here's the upsides, downsides and tips I have if you decide to use it:
UPSIDES:
1) Like "ab wheel" exercisers. the ab dolly allows you to exercise your abs in a variety of directions. But,
- it's much easier to do it with this wider version. And, beginner's can put their elbows on the dolly to make it no more effort than mopping your floor.
- Also, unlike "ab wheels", it let's you work out your lower tummy abs in a variety of directions easily. (You put your knees on the dolly and your hands on the pad!)
2) Goes against the "no pain, no gain rule":
Actually, you might feel pain THE NEXT DAY if you overdo it. But doing it is so painless that you really might not realize you are overdoing it. That's because of it's ability to roll different directions. Everytime you get tired of going one way - you just roll a different way. And since you can work your lower abs, as well as upper ones - it's easy to get carried away and do the equivalent of 300 pain-free ab crunches the first day. (Don't! I recommend starting out doing 75 with plenty of directional variety for each upper and lower abs. That's still the equivalent of at least 150 crunches. It'll only take you a couple of minutes and you'll feel it the next day. but it won't kill you or your motivation!)
3) Do it for a few minutes a day - see results:
Whether you're dieting or not- a few minutes on this thing a day will at least "tighten up" what you have and reduce inches on your waist.
THERE'S ONLY ONE CRITICAL DOWNSIDE:
You need a hard floor with enough space to rotate around to make this work. Hardwood floors, balconies, patios and/or tile kitchens work well. (It doesn't have to be the perfect hard floor - just not carpeted!) If you don't have a hard floor - it will be useless to you! (You're not on it long enough for it to to need to be in front of a tv. So, if you can find a hard space to lay down with your arms folded out to just past your shoulders - it'll probably work).
TIP:
Watch the video or CD the first time - but just do whatever is comfortable and change the direction you're going whenever it start to feel like "real exercise".

AB Roller Double Wheel Ab Roller Review

Holy crap! This thing is freakin awesome, because you don't need to do too many and you feel the burn right away. With it's 2 rubber wheels and rubber handles, it makes it very easy to grip onto the ground and your hands. Just do at least 3 sets of 10 reps a day then you'll be doing more in no time! I already see the cut down the middle of my abs and it's already starting to form the 6 pack I wanted. The only thing is is that it heavily works out the upper abs so fast. The lower abs don't get that much of a work out, but it sure works it hard. Just go running or something to get rid of the fat from the lower abs and you'll be good in no time

Sunpentown Health and Fitness Abs Super Slide Review

Sunpentown Health and Fitness Abs Super Slide
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
While visiting my niece a month ago, I saw that she had one of these, actually an older version with only one pneumatic wheel. After three days of using her's, I was already beginning to feel the results. Within a week, that little area right below the sternum, where the left and right ribs join, was getting firmer. When I returned home, I searched this out on Amazon and bought it. They have improved this since my niece bought hers by replacing the one wheel with four wheels, so you don't find yourself leaning to the right or left as you use it, thus the possibility of straining one of your pecs. What is really great is that not only do your abs bet a workout, but your back does, too, so there is a balance in the development of your upper torso muscles.
My only suggestion is that you go easy with it. You'll start feeling results right away, and you start seeing results in a matter of days, at least I did, but, like anything, you can overdo it.

Ab Wheel Review

Ab Wheel
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I've read several reviews here with people being confused or disappointed, but I think perhaps expectations were different. First off, I'm not a trained professional, but I've been exercising for years and I pay close attention to proper form for the most effective effort. I'll try to explain how this works and what to expect.
-- CORE MUSCLES WORKED WITH AN AB WHEEL:
Shoulders, arms, upper and lower back, abs (all sections)
-- WHAT TO EXPECT ON QUALITY:
The quality on these things doesn't have to be fancy - it has a simple use and just has to be functional. Two wheels are better than one, however. The wheels are solid plastic/rubber and the grips are similar. Are the grips terribly comfortable? No, but they're not bad either and you aren't using it for hours at a time -just minutes. Wrap some tennis racquet grip around them for added comfort if you want more, but it's really not needed. This is a basic tool and doesn't need to be made of expensive materials. The bar through the middle is solid metal (not sure if there is a weight limit but I'd guess at about 200lbs).
-- PUTTING IT TOGETHER:
It arrives in a box as two separate wheels, a metal bar, two rubber handles and a single sheet of instructions. Place the bar through the wheels and center them as best as you can. Then slide/wiggle/twist one handle all the way onto one end of the bar (I didn't need grease - it went on pretty easily, yet snug). Then try to line up the grip of the other handle and slide that onto the other side of the bar with the wheels in the middle. Push on the ends of the handles to make sure they're on all the way. You will be able to twist the grips a little to line them up perfectly. Putting it together took me only a couple of minutes.
-- USING IT (BASIC):
Using the Ab Wheel is simple, but really works the abs if done correctly. This simple devise helps create the line down the middle of your abs for that nice six pack!
Kneel on the floor with one hand on each handle and the wheel positioned on the floor, centered before you. Without arching your back (keep it straight and keep your head straight too - don't look up or drop your head down) slowly roll the wheel away from your knees in a straight line before you. Your body moves forward with the wheel, away from your knees - this is KEY to making this move effective! Your weight is supported via your hands on the bar and by your knees (and a straight back). The further you can stretch your arms out before you and the further you can lean away from your knees the more you will work the core muscles in your abs. When you've rolled out as far as you safely can, reverse and roll back up to the starting position (this should be hard!). Line your body up facing a wall (knees 2-3 ft from the wall) and roll out toward the wall if you want something there to help you stop rolling. Line up further and further away as you get stronger.
You may not be able roll out more than 2-3 feet at first but that's okay. (When I stop my abs/hips are about 10-12 inches from the floor. You want to aim for about a 45 degree angle from your knees to your hips and then a countering 45 degree angle from your hands on the ab wheel to your shoulders. Think of making a bridge with your body where your knees are one support on one side of the water and the wheel is the other support on the other side of the river/body of water. Again, the farther you can stretch out, the more difficult the workout, but be careful and don't push too hard too fast or you'll tear something! Use your head and be conservative at first.
Beginners should probably start with 1-2 sets of 5-10 reps and work on rolling out further as you become stronger. I'm trying 2 sets of 10 reps and my abs are SORE after 2 days of this!! :)
It's IMPORTANT TO KEEP YOUR BACK STRAIGHT and to not arch it as you roll out. You can hurt yourself if you do this move incorrectly. The wheel comes with some basic instructions that show you the proper form. READ THE INSTRUCTIONS!
-- USING IT (ADVANCED):
Once you get comfortable using it as described above, add a twist and rather than just rolling straight ahead of you, keep your knees still and roll out at about a 25-30 degree angle left or right of center, twisting at the waist. This will really focus on the oblique muscles. I'd suggest alternating each direction during your reps, but that's just my opinion. ;)
This really is a GREAT ab workout and you WILL feel it if done properly. Good luck on that six pack!
