Ab Exercise Bar with Cushioned Neck Support - New Review

This ab bar is so easy to use, and very affordable. It gives you that little support, so that you don't hurt your neck or back while trying to do sit ups. I go to an excercise class, and most of the girls have bought this same bar, because of the price and the ease in use.

Power Push-Up - The Ultimate in "Body Weight" Exercise Training Build Your Upper Body and Abdominal Muscles Review

Power Push-Up - The Ultimate in Body Weight Exercise Training Build Your Upper Body and Abdominal Muscles

I have purchased power pushup 3 from lifeline two times.
First time I bought it, it was christmas ti me of 2009. I liked it a lot since I was looking for a way to overload my chest muscle at home with minimal equipments.
It was challenging for me and I could bench press 315 lbs 3 times at gym. After about 3 months, handles, which are made from rubber, started tearing. You see, their bands are good quality product.
But the handles couldn't withstand all that resistance from pushing so they went. Since I liked it so much, I bought another one thinking maybe, I did something wrong to cause the tear on the handles. Well, after 2 month of use, same thing happened. I sent an email to the company directly and complained. They said to take a picture of torn handles and send it back.
Done and THAT WAS 6 MONTH AGO!! I was asking if they sell handles separately at all. No response. I heard lifeline was a reputable company.
MAybe it's just me with bad experience or I heard it wrong. If you are going to put average bands ( purple bands that come with power push up 3 or one step up, which is red bands ), don't get surprised when the handles suddenly tear.

Amber Sporting Goods Training Push Up Bars Review

I wanted to buy the harbinger ones, but the fact that they were made of plastic got me thinking, I'm the kind of guy who reads a lot of reviews before making a purchase, and reviewers said that the harbingers were not that good for heavy guys, I'm a 240 pounds guy, so those weren't for me, I went looking for ones that were made of metal, I was about to buy the Reebok ones sold by target, I went to a local Target to actually see them, they seemed pretty good, but I felt the handles a bit uncomfortable, saw this ones with no reviews, but looked made of metal and sturdy, so I looked for another products from Amber, to check reviews, they were good, so I went ahead and bought them.
Did some push-ups to test them and they seem to hold my weight without any problems, handles are good, but not the best, they are easy to assemble, no need for a screwdriver, got them ready in 2 minutes.
I couldn't find any actual pictures of the bars, so I uploaded some, if anyone needs them.

Sunny Health & Fitness Sit Up Bar Review

I hadn't even used it yet and the adjustable plate broke off already. It will still function but I need to hold it in place while tightening it on. Unfortunately it won't fit on some of my doors either because they have a plate under the door. So keep this in mind when ordering. I've tried applying it to a cheaper hollow door and it seems to hold fairly well. Will try and update this with more usage. I think the plate breaking off was a structural defect. Hopefully yours won't break. Otherwise, it feels pretty sturdy.

Gold's Gym Circuit Training System Review

Gold's Gym Circuit Training System

I bought this set a few months back from a local retailer. I was really curious if it would work, and it totally does. I convinced myself to get this combo package because I wanted the push-up spinners as well. It was about the same price for this set as buying the bar and spinners individually. The ab straps seem pretty useless, because they are one-size-fits-none.
Caveats:
1) you need to have molding round your door frame. Most doors do, but you should check.
2) Works on my home doors, but not on the office doors at work -- those doors are wider. who knew?
3) The straps are useless. I haven't found anyone who was the right size for them to work.
4) The push-up spinners are pretty sweet. They really make push-ups harder. They also let you go negative, dropping below your hands towards the floor. You really don't want to go negative as it's bad for your back/shoulders, but being able to go to neutral zero without hitting the floor is great. You don't get that little rest at the bottom to cheat.
After a couple of months, the foam that rests against the side of the door frame is starting to wear off.
in summary:
bar : works!
spinners: works!
straps: zero.

Want to get fit but don't have the time or money to join a gym? Turn to the Gold's Gym three-in-one circuit training system, which makes it easy to work your upper body and abs in the comfort of your own home. The circuit training kit offers several workout options: you can attach the grip-lock bar to any doorframe in seconds to perform chin-ups and pull-ups; you can suspend the bar along the floor to hold your feet while you perform sit-ups and crunches; you can use the rotational push-up stands to challenge your chest and triceps; or you can use the Comfort Tech ab straps to work your core and abdominals. Each item is handy by itself, but when combined they give you a multifaceted workout whether your goal is toning, strength, or bulk. And as a bonus, the circuit training kit is small enough to store easily in a closet or under your bed, where it's always ready to help you get fitter and healthier.
The circuit training tools also offer individual benefits. The bar-lock door gym, for instance, installs with no screws, so you don't need to have a degree in engineering to mount it securely. The rotational push-up stands, meanwhile, are equipped with non-slip bases and feature adjustable resistance for increased definition. Finally, the Comfort Tech core straps are machine-washable, letting you scrub them free of sweat and grime after a tough fitness session. The set--which weighs a total of 8 pounds--is ideal for home use or traveling.
