Gold's Gym Circuit Training System Review

I bought this set a few months back from a local retailer. I was really curious if it would work, and it totally does. I convinced myself to get this combo package because I wanted the push-up spinners as well. It was about the same price for this set as buying the bar and spinners individually. The ab straps seem pretty useless, because they are one-size-fits-none.
Caveats:
1) you need to have molding round your door frame. Most doors do, but you should check.
2) Works on my home doors, but not on the office doors at work -- those doors are wider. who knew?
3) The straps are useless. I haven't found anyone who was the right size for them to work.
4) The push-up spinners are pretty sweet. They really make push-ups harder. They also let you go negative, dropping below your hands towards the floor. You really don't want to go negative as it's bad for your back/shoulders, but being able to go to neutral zero without hitting the floor is great. You don't get that little rest at the bottom to cheat.
After a couple of months, the foam that rests against the side of the door frame is starting to wear off.
in summary:
bar : works!
spinners: works!
straps: zero.

Want to get fit but don't have the time or money to join a gym? Turn to the Gold's Gym three-in-one circuit training system, which makes it easy to work your upper body and abs in the comfort of your own home. The circuit training kit offers several workout options: you can attach the grip-lock bar to any doorframe in seconds to perform chin-ups and pull-ups; you can suspend the bar along the floor to hold your feet while you perform sit-ups and crunches; you can use the rotational push-up stands to challenge your chest and triceps; or you can use the Comfort Tech ab straps to work your core and abdominals. Each item is handy by itself, but when combined they give you a multifaceted workout whether your goal is toning, strength, or bulk. And as a bonus, the circuit training kit is small enough to store easily in a closet or under your bed, where it's always ready to help you get fitter and healthier.
The circuit training tools also offer individual benefits. The bar-lock door gym, for instance, installs with no screws, so you don't need to have a degree in engineering to mount it securely. The rotational push-up stands, meanwhile, are equipped with non-slip bases and feature adjustable resistance for increased definition. Finally, the Comfort Tech core straps are machine-washable, letting you scrub them free of sweat and grime after a tough fitness session. The set--which weighs a total of 8 pounds--is ideal for home use or traveling.
