The metal bracket attaches easily to exercise clothing, but if you use it on a belt, the bracket does not crack. Power walking in the hot Texas sun creates a lot of sweat and moisture does not seem to penetrate the works. I have probably worn a pedometer daily for at least five years, have owned at least twelve, and this is the best I've ever had.
