They have adequate comfortable padding as I have an aggressive routine for my back. Using mostly for lat pull downs, seated rows, bentover rows, shoulder shrugs, and deadlifts. Awsome because these straps save my grip for the rest of my day and active lifestyle. Anyone who uses their hands to make a living can tell you the importance of a good strong grip, and these protect just that.
