I just received an exercise peddler, but it is certainly not the one I ordered. What was received is an exercise peddler Model # 10270KDRSV-1, made bY "drive MEDICAL DESIGN & MANUFACTUREING", delivered by MDK Ventures Internet A/C... DBA Medical Department Store.
It appears that the price on Amazon for the model received I 32.50... I paid 45.49 for a Pedlar... NOT drive MEDICAL DESIGN & MANUFACTUREING!!
What was received looks like a piece of junk. The unit is for my father to help him recover from a broken hip, so I did a lot of research and decided on the Pedlar... the one ordered.
As far as the unit itself, it looks junky. We have had experience with other peddlers for our other parents and quality is important. Previous peddlers will fall apart in the bushing area and the crank will start to wobble. Anti skid is very important too. I wouldn't try to use any of these as an exercise tool, but a good peddler is great for rehabiltaion from surgery or injury.
This is clearly a rip-off. I don't blame Amazon, but I do expect Amazon to take action and drop this vendor.

Follow on... this unit is still a piece of junk, but as within a hour of submitting a claim on Amazon to the vendor, I got a call. He applogized, we talked about the shipping company and how they receive the orders and grab anything that looks like the order. He also said that the Pedlar is a much better unit. I should be receiving the Pedlar in a few days. I was impressed with the quick response... but one has to wonder how many people will not realize they did not get exactly what they ordered.

(More customer reviews)I bought the Sunny pedal machine for my father-in-law who lives in another state. He'd had a severe stroke (can't walk and hand can't grip) and is elderly. However, he was able to put it together with his wife so assembly was easy enough. He has said it seems to be helping his recovery since he can't have physical therapy every day. Still works well with no problems after a month. Decent product at a good price. Recommended.

(More customer reviews)This little exerciser fits right under my desk, and when it's on its mat, it does not move around on the floor (wood) at all. The noise level is pretty quiet--just a low-level ssssss, but I work at home, so I'm not sure how it would play in a cubicle setting. It was easy to assemble.
I, too, found that the tension setting doesn't make much of a difference, although it got a little tighter with more turns that I would have thought necessary. But sitting here pedaling away for a half hour felt like it lasted about a minute as I surfed and worked and allegedly--according to the calorie counter--burned about 250 calories. I did break a sweat in my air-conditioned livingroom. I expect to find myself pedaling off and on all day without even thinking about it, and I don't have to leave my work and carve out a half hour or an hour to get in a bit of daily exercise. That leaves me all the more time for my kids and family time when everyone gets home from school and work.
The pedals can be a tad slippery, but I pedal barefooted and maintain traction that way. Your desk, of course, needs to have clearance for your knees, although it is possible to turn a little sideways and pedal just off to the side of your desk while still being online or doing other work. Also, you can pedal with your hands to get a bit of an aerobic and upper-body workout in. That precludes surfing or typing, so get something good to read in front of you!
Overall, exactly what I wanted and what I hoped it would be, tension notwithstanding.

one being the packaging it was shipped in, it had nothing to really protect the machine while shipping when i got mine the control knob was broken into pieces, It still had a large enough piece to grab to adjust it so it wasn't too bad, I was able to glue it back together.
It has a god awful metal against metal screech when using it on a higher level of resistance, it is easily fixed by opening it up and adding some oil to the belt and metal wheel, once it is oiled the sound isn't noticeable.
The rubber grips are pretty much useless on anything but a carpet, once you start peddling at a faster speed it just starts moving.
The frame is very light weight which does cause another issue when peddling since at times you can life up one side of it and start moving, adding a little weight to the end helps with this.
It is still better than some other ones out there and at a fair price, if you can set up your environment to use this product then it should work just fine.

(More customer reviews)My Dad had a stroke about 8 months ago and lost movement on his right side. I hoped that this machine might help him in his recovery. At first I could not understand the use of a machine that actually does the pedaling for you. I thought the motor would provide resistance and was disappointed when I set it up. I couldn't have been more wrong. My Father needed the help the motor provides. He only had one good leg. As soon as I turned it on for him he smiled. He loves it.
The most important feature turned out to be the dial that controls the speed. This provides almost infinite (so it seems) speeds. The digital ones can't do that. When he first started he needed the slower speeds that only this dial could provide.
This machine has performed flawlessly, it has been used almost every day for 2 months with no problems. The timer is a great feature, the machine shuts off when it reaches 0.
Minor Issues
1) We removed the calorie counter as it gets in the way and kept falling off. It wasn't needed anyway.
2) The blue plastic feet are not secured to the legs and tend to spin when moving it around. Secure the blue feet and it would be a perfect machine.
My Dad's trainer checked it out before he started using it.

Works well, reasonably quiet making only a soft whooshing sound in use, and sometimes a tiny and barely noticable squeak from a pedal. (This product beats the more expensive Kettler product hands down, which was extremely noisy.) It might not look like high technology, but it sure gets the job done. It doesn't take up much room. I use it for 30 minutes a day for my legs, and 10 minutes a day for my arms. Building up my time, but I've already been able to slip into my jeans with far less of a struggle since using this cycle and eating better quality (not less quantity) foods. I needed something that I would actually use and not get tired of - this is it. I can watch tv, listen to radio, or read a book while using it. What's not to like? Very nice. Thanks for a nice product.

I found the Pedlar is not only fine for my physical therapy knee exercises, but I also maintain my upper body and arm exercises by putting the Pedlar on the table and using my hands to rotate the pedals. I especially appreciate its size and convenience. I took it along on a driving trip vacation and used it in my hotel room. It took up very little space in the car (in fact it fit on top of my walker in the trunk) and fit into the closet in the hotel. Very convenient!

(More customer reviews)i could find no reviews on this MoonRocker ANYWHERE, but took a chance and bought one anyways--and i am so glad i did!! i used it last night for the first time and after 11 min (granted i'm working to get in better shape!) every muscle in my buns, quads, inner and outer thighs and calves BURNED so badly!! better cardio workout for me than walking two miles--i'll plan on using this ALOT and hope after i become more comfortable with the balancing aspect, that i can incorporate hand weights for a more all-body workout. this doesn't come with any instructions, but is fully assembled, with an extreemly sturdy design. in one use i was able to figure out slightly different ways to target different muscles and even with a thorough stretching, i can't believe how sore i am today! I LOVE THIS THING! and while it can't be the only thing in my routine, i'll use it regularly and look forward to seeing the results!!!

(More customer reviews)Its good looking piece of equipment,small, easy to store even under the chair...But reason for me to buying it, was for health needs.With my poor circulation I have to use it for many times of the day,every day,for long period of time.
But I am not sure it will last long.
First of all it gets very hot from rotations,second (and I didn't figure out that before) its to light!
(Only 6 pounds)And being light,It moves along with rotation,actually its running away from you.You have to stop your exercises every couple rotation, and pull it back, or you have to nail it to the floor in the middle of the living room.
I live in Florida weather is wonderful,i will walk!
This -MINI CYCLE EXERCISE BIKE will not run away standing under the chair! By the way shipping arrangement very confusing!And to high!

It is a completely adequate substitute for much more expensive exerciser bikes and if, in use, it slides around a bit on the floor or carpet, putting a small rubber bathmat under it solves that problem completely. It's small enough and light enough to pick up easily and if necessary store out of sight. I love it.
