Fitball Pump Review

I ordered this item to replace a previous one that had broken. The day it arrived I used it to fill up a new balance ball - almost. When the ball was about half full I could tell there was something wrong with the pump. The handle and shaft were sticking and resisting movement. I took the pump apart and discovered the rubber membrane was all tangled around the plunger. After carefully untangling it and getting grease all over my hands I reassembled and tried again. Same thing happened, only this time the membrane was ripped. I did what I could to get it back in place again, and it wheezed along enough to almost fill the ball (not enough to use)before completely seizing up.
I threw it away and spent another 20 minutes cleaning up the grease it had leaked on my hands, clothes and the balance ball. I'll never buy another one.

Yoga Direct Yoga Ball Foot Pump Review

Pros:
- Will eventially pump up a ball.
- One way valve prevents the ball from deflating between pumps.
Cons:
- Takes a long time since it can't hold much air.
- Leaks if not careful. There's a small yellow cap on the top center of the pump which you can see in the picture that will become loose if your hand isn't firmly over it while using the pump.
- Hose can come loose and disconnect from the pump since it's only secured by a semi-tight friction fit.
- I've used it once and it might do another, but definitely wont last forever.
Other Thoughts:
I highly reccomend using your lungs and maybe the hose to pump up the ball initially and move to the pump as you get towards the end and the ball is firmer.
