The components are of decent quality: the band didn't seem like it would snap and the ball was easy to inflate. At the time I was looking into prices, it was quite a bit cheaper to get everything as a set then to buy two or three of the individual pieces separately.
The included workout DVD is good as well, with a mix of step aerobics and light weight lifting using the dumbbells and band.
I believe the step is slightly smaller in side to side length then the steps you can buy individually. A better step or more weights would have bumped this up to five stars, but that being said, I haven't seen anything better on sale.
One note of caution: when I first received the package, the cardboard box containing everything was broken and the weights were missing. I wrote Amazon and they sent me a replacement and a pre-paid return shipping label fairly quickly, even though the actual merchant was Target.
